Look at you, OUYA. Showing off your cool new exclusive!

So tell me if this sounds good: A randomly-generated dungeon crawler with rhythm-based combat set in the 1970s that mixes funk/soul with Norse mythology. That’sSoul Fjord, Airtight Games’ (Quantum Conundrum)latest game. It stars the beautifully afro’d warrior Magnus Jones. He’s dead, working to fight his way into Valhalla. The party don’t start until he says so, apparently.

We have an announcement trailer (above) as well as a developer diary with Kim Swift (below) for you. From what they say, this seems like a pretty slick title. We don’t have much to go on as far as gameplay goes, but I’ll take a funky roguelike any day, and key words “rhythm-based combat” really speak to me.

These videos are more like OUYA ads than anything else. But guys.Rhythm roguelike.

This makes me wish I would have picked up my OUYA during GDC. I don’t have one now.
