When playingApex Legends, players will want to pay attention to the kill feed, as it’s the source of valuable information, like recent kills or if someone was just downed instead of killed. However, some players may have noticed that the kill feed occasionally has a weird message in it that says, “A Nessy appears…” and may not know what it means.
Basically, Respawn has been hiding Loch Ness monster plushies in theTitanfallvideo games, andApex Legendsis no different. The “A Nessy appears…” message is displayed whenever players shoot the Nessy plush. It’s possible that there is more than one Loch Ness monster on theApex LegendsKing’s Canyon map, but we can only confirm the existence of one so far, and it’s easy to find once players know where to look.
To find the Loch Ness monster easter egg inApex Legends, land at Cascades and head north of the respawn station. There is a small pond here with the plush floating in it that players can shoot to trigger the message.
As previously stated, there have been some claims online that there is more than one Loch Ness monster hidden on tjeApex Legendsmap, but that has yet to be proven at the time of this writing. If so, it’s possible that destroying all of them is part of a larger easter egg that fans have yet to decipher.
It’s possible that this easter egg is part ofApex Legends' first big in-game event. Thanks toFortnite, in-game events have become a staple of the battle royale genre, and so many are expectingApex Legendsto follow suit. We know that the game’s first battle pass is coming in March, so perhaps there will be more developments in the weeks leading up to that point.
In the meantime, there are other animal plushies thatApex Legendsplayers can find hidden on the battle royale map. For example, one developer created atribute to their dog that passed awayduring the game’s development by immortalizing their pet as a plush inApex Legends.
ApexLegendsis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
