Fortunately, the key to the locked vault is not far away, so you won’t have to spend hours looking for it.Use Speak With The Dead to talk to deadToll Collectors to get information about the location of the key. Then, do the following:
Go back to the house andoptionally deal with Andersand the paladin hunters. After that, you can go down to the basement and use the key.
How to Use The Toll Collector Key
You can use the Toll Collector Key to open the vault. Look for the basement by going through the trapdoor with the decorative tree in the same room as Anders. When you’re ready, go down into the basement, and you’ll get to a small room. Use the Toll Collector Key and open the east door. Be careful, because there are traps on the floor. Disarm the traps or avoid them. Once you overcome all the obstacles, you’ll notice two chairs at the end of one of the rooms. Sit on both chairs, and a secret passageway will open, allowing you to reach a part of the basement that is free of obstacles. Finally, you’ve reached the vault. Inside, you will find many valuable items,including weapons.
