Today, DICE and Electronic Arts have providedBattlefield 1fans with a better idea of the contents for the forthcomingThey Shall Not Pass DLCwith a new trailer, while also unveiling the expansion’s release date of March 14. Considering the multiple teasers that fans of the World War I shooter have been assaulted with leading up to this reveal, they are likely grateful to now learn that theBattlefield 1expansion finally has a concrete time of availability, and that it’s so soon.
As seen below in the trailercourtesy of the Official EA UK YouTube channel,Battlefield 1fans who go on to purchase the paid DLC will have plenty of action to look forward to experiencing. For instance, They Shall Not Pass will include a bevy of new features, such as the inclusion of the French army, as well as four new maps on the Western Front, with the areas Verdun Heights, Fort Vaux, Soissons, and Rupture being added.
Not to mention,Battlefield 1’s They Shall Not Pass DLC also comes with two new operations,fresh weaponsto wield, a brand new steel Behemoth in the form of the Char 2C tank, as well as a new Elite Class. Furthermore, a new game mode that offers up a mixture of both Conquest and Rush is to be added too, with thedevelopers calling it Frontlines.
As previously reported,Battlefield 1’s They Shall Not Pass expansion will be given toPremium Passmembers first, with an early access period running for two weeks. With this being the case, fans can go all-in to get the content before everyone else for $50, but those who don’t plan on picking up the Premium Pass will be able to get the DLC close to March 28.
For those unaware, They Shall Not Pass is simply the first of four planned paid DLC packs forBattlefield 1, with DICE and Electronic Arts releasing three more, each of which will revolve around a Russian, Turkish, and Belgian theme, respectively.Battlefield 1’s developers have already made providedscant, albeit interesting details about the expansions, but it’s safe to say that with the other packages quite a ways off, fans are primarily focused on what They Shall Not Pass will bring to the table.
