TheBattlefield 2042beta is available to pre-load on a different app entirely. Those looking for the beta need to simply switch over to the Xbox Game Pass app on their system, where they’ll be able to find theBattlefield 2042beta for closed download. It’s a bit more confusing than it should be but still relatively simple.
There’s one important thing to keep in mind while downloading theBattlefieldbeta through Game Pass, though. Users will be presented with two separate versions of the beta, so it’s important to double-check which one is being downloaded. There’s both an Xbox Series X version and an Xbox One version, with some key differences between the two.

The Xbox Series X version of the beta clocks in at about 17 Gb, while the Xbox One version clocks in at about 9 Gb, so there will be a discrepancy there. TheBattlefield 2042beta has crossplay limitations, so that’s another thing to keep in mind. There won’t be an option for current-gen players to cross-play with last-gen console owners, either.
The past few months have been decorated with beta testing periods new and upcoming games.Halo Infinite, Call of Duty Vanguard, and nowBattlefield 2042are all competing for attention over the next few months. Of course, the real litmus test will be when mid-November and early December roll around, as that’s when the final versions will be battling for the crown. Betas like this are a great way to get a feel for things in the meantime, though.
