WithBioShock 2‘s release imminent, it’s about time we heard a thing or two about the game’s midnight launch. 2K sent over a confirmation that around 2,500 GameStop and Best Buy locations will be throwing these late-night shindigs on February 9.
Pretty much all midnight events end up being spectacles regardless of the game, but I’m bettingBioShock 2‘s launch will be especially worth seeing with all of the costumed folk in attendance. Unfortunately, we don’t have a full list of participating stores handy. Bummer, right? Senior journalism correspondent Brad Nicholson was able to confirm with the state of Indiana that it will be opening at midnight to sellBioShock 2. However, “they will not have balloons.”
