Apex Legendstakes players back to the days of Apex Predators in its new Arena Mode. Unlike its staple Battle Royale counterpart, theRespawngame’s new Arena Mode confines two teams of three in an area for a deathmatch. Essentially,Apex Legendsplayers rely on limited Abilities, pre-purchased weaponry, and scattered loot to dominate in Arena Mode’s fast-paced matches. And as with Battle Royale, players who master their team compositions will obliterate the enemy before they even know it.

Thing is, composing the perfect three-man team for Arena Mode isn’t the same as with Battle Royale. After all, teams for Battle Royale need the right skills to outlast enemies. Meanwhile,Apex Legends' Arena Modeneeds teams to have the right arsenal to outmaneuver the enemy as fast as possible. Thankfully, some Legends have the right toolkit for the job.

Updated on July 14, 2025 by Rhenn Taguiam:Courtesy of Season 9,Apex Legendsfinally introduced the Arena as an alternate game mode. This time around, Apex Legends players team up in squads of three to best other players in smaller maps and purchasable weaponry. Players need to adjust their team dynamics to accommodate for more fast-paced battles and limited mobility. As such, typical team compositions in Battle Royale might not necessarily work when brought to the more brutal Arena Mode. However, just whichteam compositions for Arena mode are the bestto dominate enemy teams? This guide has been expanded to include more options.

Bloodhound Mirage Seer

Bloodhound, Mirage, Seer

AMiragecan spice up any match by distracting opponents to death. And withBloodhoundandSeerready to point in an enemy’s direction, MIrage’s life just became much easier. At its core, this build will rely on Bloodhound using his Tracker (Passive) and Eye of the Alfather (Tactical) to spot any roaming enemies.

Seer does the same with Focus Of Attention (Tactical) and even Exhibit (Ultimate) in case of emergencies.

Bloodhound Octane Seer

Thanks to the threat of getting tracked, enemies will be taunted to reveal their position.

With the right timing, a Mirage can lure opponents out to an ambush via his Psyche Out (Tactical) and Life Of The Party (Ultimate) while they’re left exposed due to detection.

Bloodhound Seer Valkyrie

Bloodhound, Octane, Seer

Anyone with anOctaneknows they’re in for speed, and pairing him withBloodhoundandSeercan transform this Offensive Legend into a killing machine. Essentially, Bloodhound uses his Tracker (Passive) andEye of the Allfather (Tactical)to spot enemies hiding across the map. Likewise, Seer can deny opponents any escape with his more aggressive Focus Of Attention (Tactical) and Exhibit (Ultimate).

However, Octane serves as this trio’s star. Thanks to his speed, he can catch up to any escaping foe detected by his two comrades. His Stim (Tactical) should be enough to chase opponents, and his Launch Pad (Ultimate) can give his teammates the vertical advantage.

Mirage Octane Seer

Bloodhound, Seer, Valkyrie

It’s one thing to have a Recon Legend scout the area in a heated Arena firefight, but it’s a whole other monster to have three Recon Legends doing this to opponents. At its core, theBloodhound, Seer, and Valkyrielineupis designed to ensure that players can find their foes in any Arena setup as soon as possible.

Ideally, players can track sneaky opponents via Bloodhound’s Tracker (Passive) and Eye of the Allfather (Tactical). Meanwhile, Seer can complement Bloodhound’s skillset with Focus Of Attention (Tactical). And lastly, Valkyrie can deny positions to the enemy by attacking them with Missile Swarm (Tactical) as soon as they attempt to escape.

Mirage Seer Wraith

Mirage, Octane, Seer

Having aMiragein a party emphasizes tactical bamboozling, especially withSeerpointing the way. However, having anOctanemixed in means a team will have to do this extremely aggressively. Seer can spot roaming enemies quickly with Focus Of Attention (Tactical), or even his Heart Seeker (Passive). Likewise, Mirage can spot enemies shooting his Decoys via Psyche Out (Tactical).

In thisApex Legendsteam composition, Octane steals Mirage’s thunder and becomes the life of the party. Depending on how Mirage and Seerlure enemies out,Octane will always have to be ready to Stim (Tactical) his way into them. Thankfully, his trusty Launch Pad (Ultimate) should also be enough backup for him to explore faraway choke points.

Bloodhound Mirage Wraith - Apex Legend Arena Compositions

Mirage, Seer, Wraith

Getting aMiragein a team means bamboozles are coming, and havingSeerandWraithin the mix gives a ton of stealth potential. Seer can taunt enemies into revealing their positions with Focus Of Attention (Tactical). Emergencies can merit the use of his Exhibit (Ultimate) to maximize detection potential.

However, this buildemphasizes surprise attacksfrom both Mirage and Wraith. Enough bamboozling with Psyche Out (Tactical) can leave enemies attacking Decoys while Mirage zooms in for the kill. LIkewise, Wraith herself can become a decoy and just whisk herself away with Into The Void (Tactical), leaving enemies out in the open with targets on their backs.

Bloodhound, Mirage, Wraith

Bloodhoundhas a keen talent for tracking his enemies, and he can direct his team for a stealth wipe with the right configuration. Thanks to his Eye Of The Allfather (Tactical), he can tag enemies for allies to see – immediately givingMirageandWraiththe green light for an assault.

Once Bloodhound tags opponents, Mirage can send a Decoy (via Psyche Out, Tactical) to lure enemies out into the open. Likewise, Wraith can Phase (Into the Void) toattack enemies from the flankfor a quick wipe. Moreover, Bloodhound himself can enter combat with his Beast Of The Hunt (Ultimate), which gives him an enhanced version of his Tactical in addition to a speed boost.

Bangalore Bloodhound Octane - Apex Legend Arena Compositions

Bangalore, Bloodhound, Octane

Seeing “Sonar Detected” meansBloodhoundknows exactly where they’re coming from. It’s in that moment where enemies decide what to do upon detection that Bloodhound can direct an aggressive offensive, and his comradesBangaloreandOctanespecialize on offense.

Once Bloodhound tags his enemies, Bangalore can send a smoke canister (via Smoke Launcher, Tactical) to block enemy sight. This should leave a few seconds of free detection to shoot while their enemies escape. Should this happen, Octane should be buzzing around in speed via Stim (Tactical) for the quick kill. IfBangalore is feeling a bit merciless, her Rolling Thunder (Ultimate) can block an enemy’s escape with a barrage of missiles.

Caustic Crypto Pathfinder - Apex Legend Arena Compositions

Caustic, Crypto, Pathfinder

Causticmight seem unideal in a fast-paced situation like the Arena Mode. However, his knack for traps makes him a perfect pair forCryptoandPathfinder.Essentially, Crypto canpinpoint enemy positions via Surveillance Drone (Tactical). At this point, Pathfinder can use his Zipline Gun (Tactical) to get into an offensive position or wait elsewhere to provide covering fire.

Meanwhile, Caustic can use this opportunity to set up defenses via his Nox Gas Trap (Tactical). When used defensively, Caustic can secure obscure corners to deter the enemy’s assault. Meanwhile, Caustic can also position his Traps in crucial corners as the enemies approach them. Either way, the toxins from his poisons can provide a rather worrisome damage-over-time to distract enemies.

Crypto Lifeline Mirage - Apex Legend Arena Compositions

Crypto, Lifeline, Mirage

Cryptofavors theslow and sure approach, andLifelineandMirageserve as the best allies for this. His Surveillance Drone (Tactical) can spot enemies within the Arena, giving his team a lot of opportunities to approach combat. And with Lifeline with the support via D.O.C. Heal Drone (Tactical) and Combat Revive (Passive), Mirage can confidently go on the offensive.

Essentially, Mirage can use his Decoys (via Psyche Out, Tactical) to lure enemies out in the open – with Lifeline providing the handy support behind or in the flank. When engaging, Crypto can disengage from his Drone and provide much-needed fresh support to secure the win.

Crypto, Mirage, Pathfinder

Cryptoand his Surveillance Drone (Tactical) can find the best positions to secure the advantage. If players appreciate a chess-like approach to Arena Mode, thenMirageandPathfinderbecome suitable teammates. Essentially, Pathfinder’s Zipline Gun (Tactical) can help himget into favorable positions away from the enemy. This allows him to become the sniper or provide suppressive fire from up high.

On the ground, Mirage can use Decoys (via Psyche Out, Tactical) to lure enemies out. This time around, Pathfinder can shoot them from afar and force them to retreat – potentially where Crypto is waiting for a nasty kill.
