Montanablack88, whose real name is Marcel Eris, was recently banned fromTwitch, with the ban planned to last 33 days before the streamer can broadcast on the site again. This was due to a recent stream where Eris filmed himself following multiple women outside while making grunts and comments at them.

This is yet another case of abig Twitch streamer getting bannedfrom the website in 2020. While this isn’t a permanent ban like with so many others, it at least has an obvious reason for why the streamer was banned.
Many of Eris’s fans originally came to watch him due to him being open about his past as a drug addict and admiring him for his recovery. He additionally wrote a book in 2019 called “From Junkie to YouTuber” that chronicles his journey away from drug addiction to his stardom on YouTube.
Currently, anyone who tries to access his Twitch channel will get the usual “Sorry. Unless you’ve got a time machine, that content is unavailable” error message that comes when viewers attempt to access aTwitch page that has either been banned or deleted. Eris’s YouTube channel hasn’t had any new videos since five months ago, with no video discussing the ban either. His Instagram holds no kind of response to the ban either.
The ban lasting for only 33 days may be surprising for some, with otherTwitch streamers getting lifetime bansfor what some may consider to be lesser offenses. This likely isn’t due to Eris’s large fanbase influencing the decision due to many other streamers with large fanbases getting hit with lifetime bans. Considering the behavior towards these women just trying to walk around at night while on camera, it is also unknown how Eris would act toward these women if the camera were off.
With the ban occurring today, the earliest that Eris can return tostreaming on Twitchwithout an appeal of some kind will be on October 27th, 2020. It is unknown if that is when Eris will make a public response to this ban or if he will continue to remain silent in hopes that the negative attention will go away.
