Meanwhile,Mass Effect 4took gamers by surprisewhen it was officially announced in the winter of 2020, and it will continue the story started in the originalMass Effecttrilogy following the divisive departure of 2017’sMass Effect: Andromeda.

As it turns out, BioWare could have another, unconfirmed game in development alongside these two highly anticipated sequels, at least according to a new job offering posted by the studio late last month. This listing calls for a temporary development manager who will coordinate across “2-3 diverse project teams.” The first two of these teams are presumably working onMass Effect 4andDragon Age: Dreadwolf, meaning that there could be at least one other project being worked on at BioWare.

BioWare Might Have a Mystery Game in the Works

Earlier this year, BioWare was hit with layoffs as part of a downsizing of parent company Electronic Arts, but fans have been reassured that the nextMass Effectgame hasn’t been impacted. Likewise,Dragon Age: Dreadwolf’s development is still churning along, with BioWare putting it at the forefront of its focus and rumors suggesting that it could launch sometime later this year. Fans might be getting another look at thelong-in-developmentDragon Age: Dreadwolfat the Summer Game Fest in June.
