MultipleBorderlands 3players have spoken out on social media about losing their save data on PC. It seems most of the PC players impacted by this issue were using cloud saves, but some that have been savingBorderlands 3locally have also reported losing their data. Those playing throughBorderlands 3on consoles don’t appear to be running into the missing save data issue that is plaguing some PC players. However, as previously mentioned,Borderlands 3console players have their own issues to deal with. One of the most significant is theBorderlands 3split-screen lag, which significantly impacts performance when one player is in the menus.

2K Games has said that it is working to better optimizeBorderlands 3, but no official update has been announced or detailed just yet. So it’s unclear when exactlyBorderlands 3PC players will be able to play the game without having to worry about losing their save data. We also don’t know when the split-screen lag and otherBorderlands 3console issues will be fixed either.

It’s also worth mentioning that sinceBorderlands 3is a timed-Epic Store exclusive, the lost save data may actually be more the fault of Epic Games than 2K Games. Fans will just have to wait for more information to be sure one way or another, and when playing on PC, will need to keep in mind that they run the risk of losing their save data.

Borderlands 3is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
