Netflix has officially renewedBridgertonfor both season 5 and season 6, and has revealed the premiere window for season 4. The massively popular Regency romance drama released season 3 in two parts back in 2024, with part 1 hitting the streaming service on May 16, and the final part released a month later on June 13. Season 4 had been confirmed long before this, since Netflix renewed the series for both this and season 3 in 2021, but a release window for this next part remained a mystery—until now.

The officialXaccount for Netflixshared the news on July 02, 2025, thatBridgertonhas been renewed for two additional installments. With season 5 and season 6 confirmed, the streaming platform also revealed thatBridgertonseason 4 would premiere on Netflix in 2026. Though a more precise window has yet to be confirmed, the May/June release dates ofBridgertonseason 3 could hint at a similar 2026 schedule for the upcoming batch of episodes.

Netflix’sBridgertonseries is based on the book seriesby Julia Quinn, which is made up of eight books exploring each of the eight Bridgerton siblings. So far, the TV show has followed suit, with full seasons dedicated to three of these siblings' stories. It can be hoped thatBridgertonwill continue until all Quinn’s novels have been adapted, but this is never guaranteed. Prior to Netflix’s news confirming seasons 5 and 6, it was perfectly possible thatBridgertonseason 4 would have to do the job of wrapping up the series only halfway through. Thankfully, this won’t be the case.

At least three more of the Bridgerton siblings will have their stories told in the Netflix series' coming installments, and they won’t necessarily go in order.Bridgertonseason 3 threw things off in this regard. However, along with the renewal of seasons 5 and 6, Netflix revealed which Bridgerton will be the focus of season 4.The coming episodes will follow Benedict (Luke Thompson) through the events ofAn Offer from a Gentleman, Quinn’s third book. This meansBridgertonseasons 5 and 6 will either follow Eloise, Francesca, Hyacinth, or Gregory.

Things Are Really Moving Forward Now

Given the popularity ofBridgerton’s existing three seasons, it’s no big surprise that Netflix is eager to continue. Season 1 and 3 are ranked #5 and #7 on the streaming platform’s Top 10 TV Shows, and with eight books to adapt, there’s surely still a long stretch of entertainment ahead of us. What’s truly exciting about the news regardingBridgerton’s renewal for two more seasons is that Netflix is taking active steps to move the series forward. Between COVID-19 and the SAG-AFTRA/WGA strike, we’ve all had to be patient for our favorite TV shows. Hopefully, this is a sign that all that will pay off.
