When it comes to the Zombies game mode offshoot of theCall of Dutyfranchise, one of the biggest pulls for the mode has been the consistent stellar cast of characters, andCall of Duty: WW2is going to be no exception. Already, it has been confirmed thatformerDoctor WhoDavid Tennant will be inCall of Duty: WW2 Zombies, and now an extremely prolific horror actor has been added to the mix.
The actor in question is Udo Kier, who will no doubt be very familiar to horror fans in general. Over the years, Kier has appeared in large number of horror movies, ranging from classics likeSuspiria, high profile releases such asBladeand the 2007Halloweenremake, and cult movies likeOne Point OandShadow of the Vampire. Now,Call of Duty: WW2is being added to Kier’s significant roster.
The news was announced over on the officialCall of DutyTwitter page, revealing Kier’s role as Doktor Peter Glucksbringer Straub, who according to information gleaned from theCall of Duty ZombiesARGseems to play a rather significant role in the plot. More will no doubt be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con where the full reveal will take place, as teased by the Twitter post itself.
This is not the only time that Udo Kier has been involved in something related to video games, either. Previously, the actor had appeared inCommand & Conquer: Red Alert 2, for instance, taking on the role of Yuri. As a perhaps more infamous example, however, Kier also acted in Uwe Boll’s notoriously poor film adaptation ofFar Cry, which was released in 2008.
So far, the Zombies portion ofCall of Duty: WW2seems to be shaping up nicely, at least when it comes to a cast perspective. Alongside Tennant and Kier, the Zombies mode has had someother cast members announced, including Katheryn Winnick fromVikingsand Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra inDaredevil.
All in all, then, the cast ofCall of Duty: WW2 Zombiesseems to have a very strong balance, although how it appears in the final release remains to be seen. With the Comic-Con reveal coming very soon, however, expect a big update on the status of the game mode then.
Call of Duty: WW2will launch on June 26, 2025, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
