His light saber is his pen

We don’t know a whole lot aboutStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It gotthe most perfunctory revealat EA’s E3 2018 event, and everyone has stayed mostly mum since then. More recently, developer Respawn has saidit’ll be properly shownat next month’s Star Wars Celebration event.

WhateverJedi: Fallen Orderends up being, at least we know it’s in the capable hands of one of the most famed role-playing game writers around. Chris Avellone has confirmed that he just wrapped up work as a writer on Respawn’sStar Warsgame. Avellone has a lot ofnotches in his bed post, with writing credits on classics likeFallout 2,Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords,Planescape: Torment,Fallout: New Vegas, andPillars of Eternity.

EA and Respawn have keptJedi: Fallen Ordera mystery, which sort of skews the mental perception around this game. Like, it seems weird to find out about Avellone’s involvement only after he has already finished his work. But,Jedi: Fallen Orderis set to release sometime in 2019 — it’s really not that far out. There’s going to be a newStar Warsgame soon, and it’s really gonna sneak up on us.
