Fans of theFive Nights at Freddy’sseries already have a brand-new entry,Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach,to look forward to. This will mark the series' debut on next-gen hardware, but that game has no release date as of this writing.

In the meantime, fans can relive the series so far with two re-releases from publisher Maximum Games that will be receiving physical versions for current-gen consoles within the next couple of months, one of them having beenrumored for Switch just last month.

The first isFive Night’s at Freddy’s: Core Collection, a compilation including all five of what can be considered the mainlineFive Night’s at Freddy’sgames:Five Nights at Freddy’s,Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,Five Nights at Freddy’s 3,Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, andFive Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch starting January 12.

The second isFive Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted, a minigame collection consisting of classics from previous entries in the series as well as wholly original ones. It will release on PS4 and Switch, and the PS4 version will feature VR support.

These collections can serve as an entry point for new fans who may not be familiar with the horror series about homicidal animatronics from a Chuck E. Cheese-like restaurant. However, these games still only scratch the surface, as it has received several spin-offs (includingFive Nights at Freddy’s AR: Special Delivery), books that have further fleshed out the series' lore, and a movie adaptation is in development, though there has been little information on that since its announcement.
