According to a police report, actress Alicia Hannah-Kim spoke with authorities after herCobra Kaico-star Martin Kove allegedly bit her, though she declined to press charges. Kove has been with theKarate Kid-Cobra Kaifranchise since the beginning, playing major antagonist and sensei John Kreese in the first threeKarate Kidmovies, and reprising the role throughout all six seasons ofCobra Kai. Hannah-Kim joined theCobra Kaicast in season 5 as sensei Kim Da-Eun, a close friend of Kreese’s and another antagonist in the show. She remained on the series throughCobra Kai’s ending.
PerDeadline, Kovee’s alleged assault on Hannah-Kim occurred at the Summer Con convention in Washington. Asper Hannah-Kim’s statement in the police report, Kove bit her arm to the point of “almost drawing blood”. After Hannah-Kim cried out in pain, Kove allegedly tried to kiss her arm before the actress pulled away. Following a confrontation between the two actors in the green room, Kove allegedly waved off the incident as “for fun”, which prompted Hannah-Kim to speak with a police officer. She ultimately decided not to press charges, though Kove was escorted out of the convention.

The John Kreese Actor Was Removed From The Convention
Kove and Hannah-Kim were part of a line-up ofCobra Kaitalent at fan convention Summer Con in Puyallup, Washington, in June 2025. (OtherCobra Kaiactors present were Mary Mouser, Tanner Buchanan, Rayna Vallandingham, and Patrick Luwis.) The alleged incident took place on June 22 as Hannah-Kim was walking past a fan meet-and-greet table.Kove allegedly grabbed her arm and bit it hard enough to almost draw bloodand prompt the actress to yell out in pain.
After the alleged assault, Kove then reportedly tried to kiss Hannah-Kim’s arm. “…he grabbed my arm and tried to kiss it.…I pulled my arm away and rushed back to my table,” Hannah-Kim said in her statement to the police. The alleged incident was also witnessed by Hannah-Kim’s husband, actor Sebastian Roche, and the couple reportedly confronted Kove for his behavior, referring to it as “unacceptable.”
Hannah-Kim’s statement went into further detail about a confrontation between the two actors in the convention’s green room. The actress alleged that Kove “was furious and outraged and visibly angry when I told him calmly not to bite me … he insisted he bit me for fun…” Roche added, “We thendecided to contact the officer at the con to resolve the situation, and possibly press charges.”
In his report, Police Officer Eric Barry wrote, “I informed everyone that they were being audio and video recorded and that I was investigating an assault…Martin Kove admitted to biting Alicia’s arm and said he did it out of jest and he thought he was being funny, and they play fight all the time on the set of Cobra Kai, and he did not think it was a big deal.”
Ultimately,Hannah-Kim declined to press charges against Kove, though she did request an official police report be drawn, along with photos of her injuries after the alleged incident. The police report described the photo as a “very noticeable bite mark on her arm that was already turning blue and bruising.”
Officer Barry’s report continued, “I then re-contacted Martin Kove and explained that Alicia did not want to pursue charges, but he did indeed break the law according to the State of Washington and this behavior will not be tolerated in the future. I provided him with a case number, and I asked him if he wanted to provide a voluntary handwritten statement, but he declined and shaking my hand he thanked me (as did his son) andhe was escorted out of Summer Con.”
The alleged incident between the twoCobra Kaistars was reportedly dealt with quickly before most Summer Con attendees fully grasped what was happening. As of this writing, neither Kove nor Hannah-Kim has given a public statement about the alleged assault.
