Activision brings back classic 90s commercials to promote theCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which offers remasters of the first three games in the platformer series, giving fans a triple dose of nostalgia.
WhenCrash Bandicootlanded on the scene in the 1990s, Activision marketed the game with some rather silly adverts showing the marsupial in day to day life. Fans loved the commercials and so it was only fitting that the company brought them back forCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, showing Crash working up a sweat in the gym and getting a haircut to ensure that he looks his best for the remastered games. Crash may have been incredibly cool when he first landed on PlayStation, jorts and all, but now that he’s back he is buffer and flyer than ever.
Crash Bandicootfans are over the moon with the throwback, saying that it really captures the nostalgia. Even though the pun about ‘fur-k’ (4K) is more than a little cheesy, fans are excited to see howCrash Bandicootlooks even better on PS4. Activision has alreadycompared the remastered trilogy to the original gamesin a previous trailer, but any additional looks at Crash’s new and improved style are welcome.
Activision and developer Vicarious Visions will be counting on this nostalgia to makeCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogya huge hit, but fans will also have their fingers crossed that the remasters will do well. Vicarious has previously stated that a brandnew game could happenif theN. Sane Trilogydoes well, as the companies involved will have proof that fans are eager to play through more of the charismatic character’s adventures.
The possibility of aCrash Team Racingremasterhas also been floated by the developer. Fans were a little disappointed to see that it would not be included in theN. Saneremaster plans, saying that the iconic racing game is as important to PlayStation asMario Kartis to Nintendo.
Again, if the remasters of the three original Crash Bandicootgames do well then surely there will be room for aCTRremaster too.Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogywill be out incredibly soon, so fans will want to keep an eye on the sales figures.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogywill be available June 30 on PS4.
