Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Grand Prix Details Announced

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueledhas earned positive reviews since launch, with particular praise given to its wealth of content. Beenox and Activision are looking to add even more content to the game through special Grand Prix events that will add new racers, tracks, and more. And now we know exactly when the firstCrash Team Racing Nitro-FueledGrand Prix will kick off.

Activision has released a trailer showcasing the firstCrash Team Racing Nitro-FueledGrand Prix event. Called the Nitro Tour, the firstCrash Team Racing Nitro-FueledGrand Prix will take place from July 3 to to July 28. It will add five new playable characters, the “Nitro Squad,” which includes Crash’s girlfriend from the original game, Tawna.

Besides new playable characters, the firstCrash Team Racing Nitro-FueledGrand Prix will also addnew kart setsfor players to collect. This includes the Le Chaux, Bandibuggy, and Rocket. Additionally, players can look forward to special challenges and rewards that will only be available while the Nitro Tour Grand Prix is live, and the chance to drive on the new Twilight Tour track.

Something that old-schoolCrash Team Racingfans may have appreciated about the Nitro Tour Grand Prix trailer is the appearance of Chick Gizzard Lips and Stew. For the uninitiated, Chick and Stew were the commentators inCrash Tag Team Racing, which launched all the way back in 2005. Since the characters haven’t been seen for over a decade now, it’s definitely a nice touch to include them as part of theCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueledfestivities.

Looking ahead, there will be many more Grand Prix events forCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueledplayers to look forward to. The Back N. Time Grand Prix will add the new Prehistoric Playground track, as well as baby versions of Crash and Coco. ASpyro Grand Prixis also in the works, which will add the purple dragon to the roster of playable racers, and is arguably the most notableCrash Team Racing Nitro-FueledGrand Prix that’s been announced so far.
