Following a fairly extensive beta phase,Dauntlesshas just been launched, and new players are certain to be jumping into the title for the very first time. Indeed, many players joining after the officialDauntlessrelease dateare likely to be interested in trying out the variousweapons that the game has to offer, but some may be confused about exactly how to get Repeaters inDauntless.
For clarity, theDauntlessOstian Repeaters are the game’s only ranged weapon, and they were introduced in the middle of theDauntlessbeta. TheDauntlessRepeaters can be customized by changing out the four parts that make up the weapon, which allows players to alter them to maximize their efficacy in each individual hunt.
Dauntless: How to Unlock Repeaters
To unlock Ostian Repeaters inDauntless, players must progress through the game to a certain point. Specifically, those that want to getDauntlessRepeaters will be working towards a multi-part quest, titled “Go Forth and Slay,” which is issued by Katerin Sorrel in Ramsgate. This quest is obtainable after slaying the Lesser Embermane, which means it is available relatively early in the game.
As such, players should simply complete the quests offered in Ramsgate until they receive “Go Forth and Slay.” Along the way, these players will gain access to all of the weapons in the game, aside from theDauntlessOstian Repeaters. Once “Go Forth and Slay” is received, it is just a matter of fulfilling the quest criteria, which includes completing three specified hunts.
With “Go Forth and Slay” completed, players will be able to speak to Janek Zai, another NPC located in Ramsgate. This NPC offers a new quest, titled “Ironclad Admiral,” which simply requires that the player speak with that NPC again. The reward for a player that does so is that they unlock Repeaters inDauntless.
While this is simple enough, the real work begins after players learn how to get guns inDauntless, as these Slayers will then need to master the weapon and perfect their builds. Fortunately, battling theDauntlessBehemothsis a fun way to accomplish both of these tasks.
Dauntlessis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
