Things are about to get much worse for the heroes ofDC Comics’Absolute Universe as their villains are making a major move. The Absolute Universe has only been around for a year, and though the heroes have yet to meet one another, the forces of evil are uniting to stop them in their tracks.
The first year ofDC’s Absolute line isnearly over, and the publisher is already making big plans for the future. This October, DC will be releasing the one-shotAbsolute Evil #1by Al Ewing, Giuseppe Camuncoli, and Stefano Nesi. This is a huge development for the Absolute Universe as it will feature the first meeting of DC’s Absolute villains.
Absolute Superman’sRa’s al Ghul,Absolute Wonder Woman’sVeronica Cale,Absolute Flash’sElenore Thawne, andAbsolute Batman’sshadowy Jokerare uniting for one reason:to stop the emerging heroes who threaten their order. The special is also going to introduce two major characters who will feature heavily in the second year of the Absolute Universe.
DC’s Absolute Villains are Coming Together in Absolute Evil #1
The Absolute Universe is a world shaped by Darkseid where villains have a much tighter control on the world. Whether embedded deeply in the government or running a multinational conglomerate, they are all in positions of power compared to their usual nemeses. To make matters worse, the DC heroes lack the resources or connections that make their Prime counterparts thrive.
This one-shot will be a major moment for the Absolute Universe. This world’s version of the DC heroes haven’t even met yet and already, their greatest enemies are teaming up to stop them. While this does pose a threat to the Absolute heroes, this could have the opposite effect andend up uniting the heroes instead of destroying them.

Right now, the Absolute DC heroes are scattered and dealing with their own problems. But little do they know that the issues they face are all connected. The cabal running the Absolute Universe is going to do whatever they can to eliminate them. But in doing so, they may accidentallyend up being the reason the heroes come together.
The Absolute Universe’s villains are in powerful positions, and they’re too big for any one hero to stop, especially when working together. But the Absolute heroes have proven themselves to be just as capable and resilient as their doppelgängers. Hopefully, whenDC’sAbsolute villains unite, it will finally bring this world’s heroes together.
