Deadpool and Batman are About to Meet in an Official Crossover

After Two Decades, DC and Marvel’s Crossovers Finally Resume

Once upon a time,Marvel and DC Comics crossed over quite frequently. What began with Superman teaming up with Spider-Man blossomed into a decades-spanning collaboration between the two titans of the comic book world, with fan-favorite crossovers such asThe Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen TitansandDC vs. Marvel(not to mention the Amalgam imprint). Unfortunately, these crossovers came to an end in the early 2000s. While many fans had given up hope the two publishers could work things out, that hope returned earlier this year when both publishers hinted that a new crossover was on the horizon.

This news is undoubtedly going to drive fans wild as Batman and Deadpool are two of the biggest franchises in the comic book world. While some may prefer a different team-up, this is just the beginning, asMarvel and DC are already hinting that another crossover is being prepared for 2026. Regardless, this is a huge win for fans everywhere. Not only have both Marvel and DC tapped some truly top-tier talent for this crossover, the Batman and Deadpool one-shots are solid evidence that it’s a new era for both publishers and nothing is off the table right now.
