It doesn’t take long for Dexter to find himself a new serial killer target inResurrection, the so-called “Dark Passenger” rideshare killer who took Dexter’s signature name. After Dexter completes his first kill in NYC, he’s forced to find a new way to dispose of the bodies, far from Bay Harbor in Miami, where he used to dispose of them.

Like In New Blood, Dexter Now Disposes Of His Victims' Bodies In A Crematorium

It’s the Best Dexter Can Do In An Environment Outside Miami

While the beloved OG method Dexter used to dispose of his bodies was out at sea, which resulted in him landing his other signature alias, “The Bay Harbor Butcher,“Dexter repeats his same strategy inNew Bloodby burning the bodies in a crematorium.

While it’s not exactly clear how Dexter located this new abandoned crematorium location, he did note thathe searched in a less populated area of New York Citythat even police avoided because it was so crime-ridden. Dexter is able to pull off getting away with the “Dark Passenger’s” murder here without raising any suspicions.

Dexter sharply realizes that if he is to pose as Ronald Schmidt, the true name of the “Dark Passenger” rideshare killer, he’ll need his fingerprint for entry. This is why Dexter, somewhat humorously, pulls Schmidt’s arm out of the fire. Without it,there would be no way for him to successfully impersonate the “Imposter.”

Will Dexter’s Water Burial Strategy Ever Return In Resurrection?

Dexter Has No Access to A Boat & Batista Is Now On His Tail

It’s far less likely that Dexter’s classic water body disposal method will resurface inResurrection, consideringhe’s still new to the city and currently has zero access to a boat. Dumping a body in the Hudson River seems to be a much more difficult feat than in Florida, since nearly the entire state is surrounded by the ocean.

Dexter returning to his old ways would be incredibly risky with Angel Batista on his tail, trying to pin him for being the real Bay Harbor Butcher.

While it may not be as compelling as Dexter’s water method, it looks like his newfound incinerator approach will be here to stay throughoutDexter: Resurrection.
