With BlizzCon 2021 having just wrapped up, a lot of exciting new titles are now the talk of the gaming community. But perhaps one of the biggest announcements this year was the unveiling ofDiablo 2 Resurrected, aremake of the original 2000 PC classic hack-and-slash game. One thing that many have probably been waiting for is what system they’ll need to run it, and now it appears as though Blizzard have revealed the PC requirements.

WhileDiablo 2 Resurrectedis a remaster of a twenty-year-old game, it will still require a modern system to run, but lower spec PCs should still be able to cope with this more up-to-date iteration, given the minimum requirements, according to Blizzard.

According to the specs, even PC users with older systems should still be able to comfortably runResurrectedbased on the minimum requirements. The remaster has been given a graphical boost to bring it into the modern age, but it’s not as if people are going to need anNvidia RTX 3080Tior anything that recent (not that gamers can get hold of the new RTX cards at the moment, any way).

TheDiablo 2remaster will also enable resolutions up to 4K for any graphical purists that are looking for that extra crisp fidelity. On top of that,Resurrectedwill also come with a classic mode which will revert the graphics back down to the 2D sprite look of the original. Some of thebiggest changes made toResurrectedinclude the way multiplayer works in-game, such as how PvP will function, as well as improvements to the lobby which will include anti-cheat technology. They are also reportedly making it so players can share items between characters, and the ability to pick up gold automatically.

TheoriginalDiablo 2was a triumph of PC gaming when it was first released. It was even awarded a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the fastest selling PC game at the time. TheResurrectedremaster is not only an opportunity to bring it into the modern era for fans who enjoyed it the first time round, but could also bring in a new breed of players to this much-beloved game.

Diablo 2: Resurrectedlaunches later this year for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
