Recently, rumors thatDiablo 4was coming to Xbox Game Pass reared their head again, with the president of Blizzard Entertainment Mike Ybarra nipping it in the bud. Ever since the ARPG was announced, fans have constantly asked about or shared rumors that the title was coming to Xbox Game Pass, and theongoings around Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzardhaven’t helped either.Diablo 4is easily one of the biggest games of the year, of which there have been many. 2023 is a great year, and a great year for Xbox Game Pass at that.Titles likeStarfieldare set to launch on Xbox Game Passlater this year, and given the service’s popularity, the pending acquisition, and so on, it’s no wonder fans want to seeDiablo 4on Game Pass. For some reason, it advertised thatDiablo 4was “available now” on Xbox Game Pass before the ad was ultimately removed. Of course, the catch of anything being removed when a rumor pops up is that some take it as further evidence. This is sometimes the case if something was posted early, but it’s always a possibility that it was posted in error, for whatever reason it was made to begin with. This spread quickly about theDiablo 4and Xbox Game Pass communities, but luckily, Ybarra was quick to set the record straight.
Meanwhile, Game Pass continues to add excellent games month in and month out. A handful of games have been added already, with more on the schedule for later this month, and more to be revealed relatively soon. The cherry on top for July, however, isXbox Game Pass' console addition ofGrand Theft Auto 5. It was a major surprise and is bound to help fans through a relatively slow month this July.
