Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas just unveiled all the details for its big summer update, including the release date and what to expect from the last free update for the first half of 2025. Gameloft has also used this opportunity to share its new Roadmap, outlining what players can expect for the latter half of 2025.
Per Disney Dreamlight Valley’s announcement onX,DDV’s summer update, now officially named The Mysteries of Skull Rock, will launch on June 18th, 2025and feature the introduction of a long-awaited classic Disney character, Peter Pan. ThenextDDVStar Path, Adventures in Neverland, will also launch as part of the update and feature a variety of new items centered around pirates and ocean life.
In addition to the new Roadmap, update, and Star Path,Disney Dreamlight Valleyalso revealed some of what can be expected when the Storybook Vale’s finale launches later this summer.

Players Will Welcome Peter Pan & Participate In A Nautical Star Path
While a lot of this update came as no surprise because of the various teasers and hints shared by Gameloft leading up to it, it’s an exciting reveal nonetheless. Skull Rock, which has sat mostly irrelevant up until this point, has finally been given a purpose, asplayers will be guided there to discover none other than Peter Pan. From there, players will need to convince Peter that they’re the same fun kid he once knew, just a little older now, and help him form an entirely new group of Lost Boys.
As forthe new Star Path, Adventures in Neverland, while we aren’t able to see the full list of available rewards until launch day, we can at least confirm from the few items shown that Dazzle Beach will finally be getting some theme-appropriate decor. Finally, perhaps the most exciting news is thatDisney Dreamlight Valleywill now feature cross-save with PlayStationas part of the Mysteries of Skull Rock update.
In addition to the details regarding the upcoming update, Gameloft also took the time to share what players can expect for the rest of 2025, including thefinale of the Storybook Vale expansion.Part 2, The Unwritten Realms, will launch on July 9th, 2025,and feature the conclusion of the expansion and the introduction of two new characters, including Maleficent and Princess Aurora.

Moving beyond what we already knew was coming,Gameloft has revealed the rest of the 2025 Roadmap, which teases updates for late summer, Autumn, and Winter. While there isn’t much to go on, it’s safe to say we’ll see updates centered aroundInside Out,Beauty & The Beast, andCinderella.
There’s plenty more to unpack in this Developer Update, including new features surrounding companions and therecently forgettable Forgotten character. Based on everything we’ve seen so far, I’m feeling hopeful that 2025 has the potential to beDisney Dreamlight Valley’s best year yet.
