Beta test will begin on March 6
We still lack a Western release announcement for the “oh so horribly performing“Dragon Quest X, but Japan finally has a solid date for the Wii U version: March 30. It will cost ¥6980 (~$74) and include 20 free days of play.
The game’s beta will begin on March 6, open to players with a Certificate of Registration currently included in Wii U Premium Sets. Characters you use in the beta can then be transferred into the final version of the game.

To sweeten the pot even further, aDQXhardware bundle will go on sale for ¥42,000 (~$447). It’ll include the black Premium Wii U, the game itself, a Pro Controller, a ¥1000 prepaid card, and five in-game super health orbs. Nintendo will also sell a limited number ofDQX-themed prepaid cards in ¥3000 denominations.
Did I mention there will be off-TV play with the GamePad? Yeah, that too.
