One of the most unexpected parts of the stream was a collaboration betweenDungeons and DragonsandMinecraft. This hilarious crossover includes five iconic mobs fromMinecraftas stat blocks inD&D. These fantastic mobs even have some new sketch-likeartMinecraftfans will appreciate.

The stat blocks themselves are quite unique, and would make a great addition to the monstrous repertoire of any dungeon master. While the wolf and blaze are similar to the wolf and fire elemental stat blocks from theMonster Manualrespectively, others have unique mechanics. The creeper in particular is especially noteworthy in that it has no actions. Rather than actually attacking on its turn, it stops, hisses, and explodes on its next one. There are even rules forsomeMinecraftitemsin the compendium, including a Blaze Rod and an Ender Pearl.

Fans ofMinecraftandDungeons and Dragonswere immediately charmed by these fantastic creatures. HomebrewD&Dcreators have made custom monsters in the past, but seeing an official collaboration withMinecraftwas unexpected and incredible. Many can’t wait to surprise their players with creepers or ender dragons, and others are excited to use these monsters as a bridge to introduce children who loveMinecraftintoDungeons and Dragons.
