Warning: Major spoilers for the season finale of MobLandThe final episode of the first season of Paramount+‘sMobLandcame to an appropriately bloody conclusion, as several key characters met violent ends. While the entire first season of the gritty crime drama was marked by violence (literally from the first scene), theseason finale ofMobLandsaw the bodies truly pile up, as the war between the Harrigans and the Stevensons came to an explosive end. The conflict was brought to a swift end thanks to Harry Da Souza being two steps ahead of everyone else, as usual, which also helpedmost of the Harrigansmake it through unscathed.

It’s worth noting that in true gang show fashion, many of the characters killed in the finale met that fate as a result of their own schemes going wrong. The dichotomy between loyalty and betrayal was a common theme inMobLand’s first season, and in most cases, the rats were sniffed out and snuffed out in due time. If season 2 is greenlit, it’s all but guaranteed that that juxtaposition between treachery and allegiance will continue to play a major role in the overarching narrative, and those that fall on the wrong side will likely wind up six feet under.

Emily Barber as Alice/Nicola in MobLand

Alice/Nicola

The Undercover Informant Knew Too Much

DS Fisk and DC Mukasa’s undercover informant Alice (portrayed by Emily Barber), whose real name is revealed to be Nicola by Toby Jones’ Colin Tattersall, put herself in the belly of the beast inepisode 9 ofMobLand. By accepting Conrad’s invitation to dinner, which was pretty obviously meant to feel out her real intentions, Alice was able to collect DNA for Tattersall to place on a crime scene and frame the Harrigans. Unfortunately, that made her a loose end for Tattersall, andhe had a goon knock her out with what appeared to be chloroform or an equivalent.

It’s important to note that we only ever see Alice drugged unconscious and driven away by Tattersall’s accomplice. There is no evidence that Alice/Nicola is in fact dead, so the door is open for her to return in a future season. It seems more likely thatit was simply a stylistic choice on the part of the director to distinguish Tattersall’s methods from the ultra-violence of the gangsters, and that the informant was actually killed off-screen.

All Of Richie’s Men

Harry Wiped Them All Out Simultaneously

The ever-cunning Harry used O’Hara to set up not only Richie, but all his men as well. He had O’Hara tell Richie to send his soldiers to the Harrigan safe house because there were undefended Harrigans there, and to O’Hara’s office where Richie believed an ambush would be waiting for him.Paul planted a bomb in O’Hara’s office to kill the Stevenson soldiers with the click of a button, while Zosia and Kiko did the same with a grenade at the safe house. Finally, Harry and Kevin went directly to Richie’s bar to kill the few soldiers left protecting Richie.

Kiko

Harry’s Loyal Associate Wasn’t Careful In The Carnage

Harry’s weapons specialist made an uncharacteristically careless move in the aftermath of the safe house bombing, and it led to his death. He and Zosia entered the room after the grenade went off to finish off any possible survivors, which they accomplished with all but one. The last soldier that Kiko checked was hiding a pistol underneath his body, sowhen Kiko turned him over to check on him, he was shot right in the chest. He bled out quickly and died without any sort of last words, leaving Zosia behind to mourn him.

Richie Stevenson

The South London Crime Boss Was Outsmarted In The End

After remaining composed and measured in the wake of the murders of his son and wife,Richie finally allowed his desire for vengeance to get the best of him in the season finale ofMobLand. Richie believed in O’Hara enough after her year of loyal service that he believed he had outsmarted Harry in laying a trap instead of the other way around. Unfortunately, O’Hara had lied to him, leaving his men scattered around London to be blown up and leaving himself relatively undefended. It was easy work for Kevin and Harry to assault his stronghold and gun him down.

O’Hara Delaney

The Lawyer-Turned-Rat Was Used But Not Forgiven

Once he confirmed her treachery, Harry used O’Hara to set Richie and his men up once and for all. By sending her to Richie with a bit of reverse psychology, Harry was able to parlay her loyalty to Richie into one final, grand deception. O’Hara remained with Richie while his men were massacred, and he used her as a human shield when Kevin and Harry assaulted his office. However,Harry shot through O’Hara to get to Richie, and finished her off with a bullet to the forehead, knowing she could never be trusted again after her betrayal of the Harrigans.

Who Else Died In MobLand Season 1

In addition to Richie’s men in the finale, several entire gangs were wiped out duringMobLand. At Conrad’s word, two rival gangs were slaughtered in a basement in the show’s opening scene, while Harry decimated an entire cell of Moroccan gang members in a drug warehouse as part of his search for Seraphina and Brendan Harrigan in Antwerp.Several other seemingly major characters met bloody, often unexpected ends over the course of the first seasonfrom both sides of the Harrigan/Stevenson war, in addition to the police who sought them, including:
