Today, the first day of its release,Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockoutis a huge hit. Such a big hit that the servers aren’t able to withstand the onslaught of players on the PlayStation 4.

Fall Guysinitially brings together 60 playersinto the obstacle arena where they must race to the finish line or survive the challenge in order to qualify for the next round. In the final round, the last jelly beans standing must race to the crown and grab it to be announced the winner. It’s already a lot of players to bring together at once, and although the developers were hoping for the game to be a huge success, Mediatonic wasn’t prepared for just how many gamers wanted to join in on the fun.
According to theFall GuysTwitter, the servers are actively being worked on to support players attempting to get online. “We tried to secretly bring the servers back online but 100,000 of you all came flooding back in lol,” one tweet reads, with a promise to continuously update as the servers come back online. Though the server issues might be a bit annoying to anyone trying to get some matches in on the first day of its release, theFall GuysTwitter has been trying to crack some jokes in the meantime and calling for a meme thread to entertain patiently awaiting players.
The server issues are resulting in not only players not being able to joinFall Guysmatches on their PS4s, but other problems as well, such as not being awarded experience points or being kicked from the game in between matches. Experience points are an important part of the game, of course for leveling up, but along with it comes perks like special skins and colors. The servers seem to currently be allowing players into matches, but hopefully for players looking to collect every skin, the issue is wholly remedied soon.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockoutis out now for PC and PS4.
