By now, many players around the globe are enjoying their new Xbox Series X and Series S consoles. The launch of these two new Xbox consoles set a record for the company, with Head of Xbox Phil Spencer stating that it hadsold more Series X and Series S systems in its first 24 hoursthan it had in previous launches. Now Xbox has added several new titles to its Xbox Game Pass service to give players even more games to try out on their new consoles.
Starting today, players have three new Game Pass titles to give a shot on their Xbox platform of choice. The first isStreets of Rogueon the PC Game Pass, a twin-stick, Roguelite RPG with multiple procedurally generated scenarios and many characters to play as. Next isGonner2on consoles and Android devices, a sequel to the critically acclaimed Roguelike platformer from 2016 by Raw Fury. Finally, players on both consoles and PC can now also play the long-awaitedFinal Fantasy 8Remastered.

Final Fantasy 8is but one ofmanyFinal Fantasygames that were promised to Xbox Game Passplayers back in November of 2019. Besides this new addition, players can currently playFinal Fantasy 7,Final Fantasy 9, andFinal Fantasy 15across the Xbox family of consoles. Final Fantasy 8 Remasteredreleased in early September 2019with many critics coming away with a generally positive experience. While many have stated that they believe that this is the best way to play the game, others were quick to point out that the remaster seemed to not put nearly enough time into updating the game’s backgrounds. Meanwhile, character models received a considerable facelift from their original release, giving some players a somewhat jarring experience.
