If you’re a fan ofFortnitethen there is a chance you’re familiar with Twitch streamer Ninja. Best known for his high skill play in Epic Games’Battle Royale title, Ninja accomplishes impressive feats regularly and even has a few record-breaking matches under his belt.
However, sometimes Ninja is a little too good atFortniteand gets a little too confident as a result. And in the case of the below clip, Ninja’s confidence hurt his chances at another record.
As the clip shows, Ninja was at 27 kills in the newSniper Shootout limited time modeadded to Fortnite, and only one player is left. If Ninja kills that last opponent he would have the kill record for the Sniper Shootout mode, but Unfortunately, Ninja decided to play with his food and let that final kill slip away. But what makes things even weirder is that Ninja still came away with the match win.
While manyFortnite Battle Royaleplayers are just happy getting a win, Ninja likes to secure his victories with a little style. One of the most popular win conditions that Ninja opts for is the trap kill, where he builds a “room” around an opponent, places traps inside the room, and then waits for the traps to do the work. When it works, it’s a really impressive kill and shows just how skilled Ninja is when it comes to quick reactions and building.
Unfortunately, in the case above, Ninja tried to get the trap kill and secure the record but rather than be humiliated, the player decided to drop out of the game. Ninja still gets the win, but he doesn’t get that final kill, which he needed for the record at the time. When he realizes what happened, the reaction is priceless even if the end result is depressing.
No doubt Ninja will have plenty of opportunities at moreFortnite Battle Royalerecords. He ranks up there with some of the top players on Twitch and puts us lay people to shame. But, if you’re looking to improve atFortnite, especially on PC, we highly recommend tuning into his stream.
