Reddit user cutrones_legs recently shared aCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3clip in which they get stuck using an unlisted wrench weapon. Theclip begins with the player repairing a turret that’s playing a role in preventing enemies from progressing across the map. The turret’s health isn’t displayed, and when the player steps away from it, the wrench animation continues. Likely in an effort to stop the turret repair animation, the player gets more distance from the weapon but is unable to shake it. With the turret still damaged, the enemy team pushes past cutrones_legs and escorts the tank further alongthe classicCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3map.
As the player engages with an enemy, they try firing their weapon, and it works despite this animation replacing the LMG. While the player is still stuck in the repair animation, they fire 11 shots. Most of these shots connect with the enemy soldier, butthe LMG also featured inCall of Duty: Warzoneis outdone by their opponent’s AR. The clip concludes with cutrones_legs dying. It’s currently unclear if thisModern Warfare 3hiccup contributed to their team losing or if they were able to defend a later point.
Because moments like this can contribute to losses inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the video highlights an issue that developers may address. Given thatActivision continues to updateModern Warfare 3, it’s likely that the repair bug will be fixed in a future patch. As cutrones_legs was still able to fire their LMG, this clip may help others affected by the bug realize that they can still fight in the animation.
