I’ve been using Charlotte Tilbury beauty and skincare products for a few years now, and while they’ve done brand collaborations before (like with Disney in 2023), I never thought CT would release a gaming collection. By some miracle though, it’s happened, and it’s perhaps one of the most magicalGenshin Impactcollaborations of all time.
Beauty brands are starting to collaborate with gaming IPs more and more. In the last few years, some of the stand-outs (for me) include the iconic ColourPop x Animal Crossing release, thePersona 5collection from Game Beauty, and Vampyre Cosmetics’Silent Hillcollection. Personally, I can’t get enough of these gaming beauty collabs - and neither can a lot of you, judging by howfast some of these have sold out.

A High Price Point, But High Quality
Let’s be honest here:this collection is aimed at the die-hardGenshin Impactand beauty fans who’re looking to inject some magic into their skincare routines. This isn’t a collaboration I can see appealing to the wider CT audience, as it’s inescapablyGenshin Impact. This is by no means a bad thing. The designs of the merch items - especially the gorgeous pin and tote bag - scream luxury, and if you’re a fan of Mona, this really is a stunning collection no matter which set you’re considering.
As is to be expected from Charlotte Tilbury, the quality of the products themselves is unmatched. The pin is - perhaps unexpectedly so - one of the stand-out items, perfect for collectors, and made of a hefty metal that definitely feels luxe. The same is true for the tote bag - it’s a little thicker than the average, and the printing and image is gorgeous. It even has a zipped internal pocket too.
As for the make-up bag, pouch, headband, and eye mask, if you’ve purchased similar accessories from Charlotte before, you’ll already know just how well-made these pieces are. When it comes to the quality here, this collection hasn’t cut corners when it comes to the branded merch. Of course,almost everything is branded with “Genshin Impact x Charlotte Tilbury,”though for those who don’t love the logos, these are at least hidden at the back of the tote bag. For the eye mask, headband, and make-up bag though, it’s a little in-your-face.
How Good Are Charlotte Tilbury Products?
Staple Products In Lots Of Beauty Routines
I’ve used a few CT products over the years, and her Magic Cream is a staple in my skincare routine. Most of the products in these kits were entirely new to me though: the water cream, setting spray, serum, eye serum, and lip oil, are all products I’ve never tried before.
Due to them being travel-size, it’s hard to say how much of an impact these have had on my skin (I’m not a dermatologist by any means, but it’s widely accepted that any skincare won’t yield any real results before 30 days of continuous use). However, they’re all wonderfully luxurious to use, and my skin feels clean, plump, and healthy. They’re also - as the name suggests - perfect minis to bring along on vacation this summer.
For better or worse though,the Charlotte Tilbury products themselves aren’t branded withGenshin Impactlogos or designs. For the Disney CT collection, one of the more desired items was the Tinkerbell Magic Cream, which featured Tinkerbell engraved into the lid. I would have loved to have seen this for theGenshin Impactcollaboration as a standalone item. Sadly, every item in the boxes is the standard version of each item, with no special variants.
The elephant in the room here is the price. While someGenshin Impactplayers might be happy to spend big bucksin order to pull the characters they want most, it’s a free-to-play game, which means plenty of players avoid spending where possible.
Charlotte Tilbury, on the other hand, is an expensive and luxury brand. The company’s ultra-famous Magic Cream, for example, is one of their best-sellers, and retails for $65 USD for 30ml (the size included in the Starry Miracle kit). It’s not surprising that the Genshin Impact x Charlotte Tilbury collection isn’t cheap - anyone who knows CT will know the prices here are in line with what the beauty brand usually charges.However, it may be hard to stomach if you’re aGenshinfan keen on trying the brand for the first time.
Is The Genshin Impact x Charlotte Tilbury Collection Worth Your Money?
A Collaboration To Remember?
As with everything, it really depends on your budget when it comes to deciding if this is the right purchase for you. If you’re a beauty fan who lovesGenshin Impactand can afford the splurge, I definitely think you won’t regret picking up either set - doubly so if you already use CT products. The mirror is a personal highlight of the Starfell Treasure Travel kit, while the pin and tote are likely to be firm favorites of the larger kit.
The quality is there, the skincare products included are some of Charlotte’s most popular, and the merch designs are nothing short of magical.If your skincare routine usually consists of CT and you love Mona, this collaboration definitely belongs in your home.
The Genshin Impact x Charlotte Tilbury collection is a gorgeous one, but I would love to see it pushed a little further. AGenshin-branded Magic Cream, or even a limited edition eyeshadow palette would have really made this collection stand out, and having standalone items would mean more fans can pick something up, even if they can’t afford a full box.
Even though I wish the designs extended to the products themselves, this is still a strong collection, and likely a must-have for fans. Hopefully we see more characters and releases down the line: Charlotte describes this as the “very first” gaming collaboration from the brand, hopefully implying there’ll be more. If you’ve been on the fence about this limited edition release and you loveGenshin Impact, either of these boxes may well be worth the splurge while they’re still available.
