One gaming fan uses Rockstar Games’Grand Theft Auto 5to recreate the trailer for DICE’s and Electronic Arts' forthcoming World War I-themed shooter,Battlefield 1.

Recently, the YouTuber known as 57chevy150 took it upon themselves to use the assets from Rockstar Games' wildly successful open world titleGrand Theft Auto 5to remake the aforementioned trailer forBattlefield 1. While the results are definitely impressive, the end product is, of course, a far cry from the source material.

As seen in the video below, 57chevy150’s take onBattlefield 1’s reveal footage is basically blow-for-blow in terms of the pacing of the original trailer, but naturally, the stand-ins for all of the bits of WWI technology don’t exactly reflect the era of 1914 – 1918. As a matter of fact, in one of the funniest scenes for the remake trailer, instead of the horses galloping across the desert with soldiers on their backs, the YouTuber has replaced them with a motorcycle gang.

This isn’t the first time thatBattlefield 1’s trailer has been given the send-up treatment. As it happens, not too long after the video from DICE and Electronic Arts was posted, one gaming fan made aSpongebob Squarepantsparody, with Bikini Bottoms' best and not-so-brightest taking part in an underwater battle reminiscent of trench warfare.

Interestingly enough,Grand Theft Auto 5has been used to remake tons of trailers from both the video game and film world, withBattlefield 1only being the latest to have itself satirized with the title. For instance, prior to the full movie’s showing in theaters, Lucasfilm’s and Bad Robot Productions’Star Wars: The Force Awakenstrailerwas recreated in Rockstar Games' release.

Taking all of this into consideration, every single scrap ofBattlefield 1material related to the title that comes out almost certainly intensifies the anticipation for the game’s release even more than before. Although the shooter’s launch is several months away, most fans are surely waiting to try outBattlefield 1’s gameplay when developers finally reveal more details for its upcomingopen beta.

Battlefield 1is set to release on August 13, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
