Groundedhas had a healthy early access period. Obsidian’s homage toHoney I Shrunk The Kidsfirst launched on June 19, 2025, and in those two years,Grounded’s player base has grown to well over a million players.
That period is coming to a close, however, asGrounded’s 1.0 release is just around the corner, dropping tomorrow, July 26, 2025. Players will soon be able to explore the new Upper Yard, fight a new boss, and finally reach the ending ofGrounded’s story.

There will doubtlessly be fans who will want to get their hands on the 1.0 release the second it comes out, maybe organizing a group session with their friends. Thankfully for them, the guide below covers the game’s release times.
Grounded’s Release Times
Grounded1.0 will be available on September 27th at 1:00 PM EST. It will be a simultaneous worldwide release. Thankfully, Obsidian and Xbox Games Studios have released a reference map, shown above, to help players find the release time in their own time zone. The examples are listed below:
For interested players who won’t play the gamethrough Xbox Game Pass, they might want to snag the game before the 1.0 release. While the final update will be free, the asking price is going from $29.99 USD to $39.99 USD as it leaves early access. Players can save 10 dollars by swooping in right before early access closes.
While this is a big milestone, it will be far fromGrounded’s last. Aside from any new content in upcoming updates,Groundedwill be expanding into multimedia with an upcoming TV showwritten byStar Wars: The Clone Wars' Brent Friedman. There will be plenty ofGroundedto experience going forth.
