For how much successHalo Infinitehas garnered since its release, there is a lot of additional content that fans have been asking for. From new multiplayer maps to Forge mode,Halo Infinitefans have been eagerly waiting for the game to receive more playable content. However, it seems that fans will soon be able to experience a feature that has been long requested since beforeHalo Infiniteeven launched.
For the longest time, co-op campaign has been a staple of every installment in theHaloseries since the advent ofHalo: Combat Evolved. Thus, the lack of aco-op campaign mode inHalo Infinitefor the last several months has left quite a few fans irked. Though, it seems that players will have a chance to experience a co-op mode forHalo Infinite’scampaign in some capacity soon.

It’s important to note that progress made on both the official and beta versions ofHalo Infinitewill not transfer over, so players will need to start a new game. The beta will also provide cross-platform support for anyone playing the game on different systems.343 Industriesstated that the direct intent of this beta is to catch any remaining performance or technical issues before launching the mode.
It’s nice to see that with all the ongoing demand fromHaloplayers worldwide, 343 has remained reactive in the pursuit of developing additional content forHalo Infinite. While the addition of the co-op campaign will surely make some players happy, there are still a lot of fans asking for even more content, even wanting specific guns to be added to the game, like theDMR.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what else 343 Industries has in store forHalofans. If a beta version of co-op campaign is on its way, then it’s possible thatForge modecould receive similar treatment. Given how comparatively more open-ended Forge mode is than other pieces ofHalocontent, it makes sense for it to be given a lot of attention and development time.
Halo Infiniteis available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
