Summary
AnOverwatch 2player has shared a hilarious clip of a Junkrat’s “1000 IQ” stealth attempt that resulted in zero eliminations. AlthoughOverwatch 2isn’t a stealth-heavy game, character like Sombra often sneak behind enemies, but this Junkrat fails an attempt to do the same.
WhenOverwatch 2was released, it brought the franchise into a free-to-play space, opening the door for more players to join the action. Although a portion of the original audience has abandoned the sequel due to the lack of single-player content, the community remains strong. Like its predecessor,Blizzard continues to updateOverwatchregularly, with many new characters introduced to the hero roster through seasonal updates. Junkrat has remained a fan-favorite hero since the beginning with a high DPS thanks to his explosives. One Junkrat player has tried to combine the character’s mine jump with a well-placed trap, but they failed to get any kills from the attempt.

Reddit user KDMKat recently shared a clip highlighting a Junkrat player’s “1,000 IQ” stealth attempt on theOverwatch 2Midtown map. The video begins with a Kiriko facing the Junkrat who is on the roof of a building near the enemy team’s spawn. An icon indicates that the Junkrat has placed a trap at one of the spawn point exits, but as the seconds tick by, no players step in it and the opponents capture the point and begin escorting the payload. As the other team captures the first point, the Junkrat moves to the next spawn room and sets another trap. After over 2 minutes of gameplay, the Junkrat finally gives up on their stealthy aspirations to defeat theOverwatch 2Support hero Ana.
Why Wasn’t This Overwatch 2 Player Kicked for Inactivity?
According to KDMKat, one player on the Junkrat’s team implored the others to report the Damage-dealer for doing nothing as the enemy team moved the payload. Despite hearing the Junkrat behind them at the beginning of the match, they forgot about them as the enemies pushed the payload. Because the Junkrat spent two minutes waiting for someone to step into their trap, they didn’t even attempt to stop the opponents' advances. Despite this, the gamer also didn’t contribute to any potentially deadlyOverwatch 2Ultimate abilities. The lack of damage also allowed the Kiriko at the beginning of the clip to focus their heals on those playing the objective.
Although this Junkrat’s stealth attempt failed, it may have worked out if the enemy team was less successful or if they took a different route. Given that the clip concludes before the payload reaches its final destination, it’s unclear if the 4v5 dynamic cost theOverwatch 2DPS heroand their team a victory or if they turned things around.
