Players that focus exclusively on progressing through the main story, and spend almost no time engaging with thisclassic platformer’s optional content, should expect to completeApe Escapein aroundeighthours. This length can be protracted by hunting down various collectibles, and there are some small incentives for doing so. For example, fans that find all the Monkeys in the game will gain access to a special a battle, and their playthroughs should last closer to 11 hours.

There are also many Specter Coins to find, and they can be used to unlock a few minigames. Those games focus on racing, boxing, and shooting, and they provide additional opportunities for players to extend their time with the title. That said, it is unlikely that fans will get more than a couple of hours out of these minigames, and they should have seen absolutely everything thatApe Escapehas to offer by 15 hours.
How Long to Beat Ape Escape 2
Ape Escape 2’s main story is similar in length to its predecessor, and indeed players will get through it in approximatelyeighthours. Again, fans can increase this time by pursuing thisPlayStation Classic’s collectibles, and it may take them a little while longer to find all the Monkeys in this followup title. That will not be enough to reach 100% completion, though, and fans that are interested in hitting that milestone must turn their attention to the game’s time trials.
Indeed, one of the requirements for full completion ofApe Escape 2is getting gold on all of its time trials. While the amount of time that it takes to do this will vary from player to player, it is not unreasonable for a 100% playthrough to exceed 20 hours. This may be more time than most players are looking to spend with thisPlayStation platformer, but it is an option that is available nonetheless.
