“Dying on the Vine” isa relatively simple side questthat takes place in the Lostwing area of Sanbreque. It involves players helping out one of Quinten’s workers who’s been having a spot of bother out in the vineyards. To complete the quest, Clive and his friends will need to do a spot of pest control, after which, they’ll receive a fairly decent reward for their efforts.
How to Complete Dying on the Vine in Final Fantasy 16
Final Fantasy 16players will be able to trigger the “Dying on the Vine” side quest by speaking with Emile, who can be found down in the wine cellars of one of Lostwing’s many buildings. He’ll explain that a bunch of angry wasps have been eating all of his grapes and that he’ll be in a lot of trouble with Quinten if he can’t find a way to save the crop. Naturally, he’ll ask Clive to get the job done for him.
If players agree. their first objective will be to exterminate the pests that are infesting Gaultand’s bales. They can walk over there from the cellar if they like, but thanks to the game’s lightning-fast load times, it’s much quicker to just fast travel to the Orabelle Downs Obelisk. Once there, they’ll find the aforementioned Vintner Wasps buzzing around and should exterminate them however they see fit. As is often the case with insects, fire can be incredibly effective, so players should utilize Ifrit orPhoenix’s Eikonic Abilitiesif needed.

Once they’re done with the wasps, players canfast travel back to the Lostwing Obeliskand then return to the wine cellar to speak with Emile. Needless to say, he’s delighted that Clive was around to save his bacon and offers up a fairly decent reward as a way of saying thanks. Players will get16 XP,ten Sharp Fangs, andone Black Blood, the latter of which can be sold to any merchant for 400 Gil.
