Silk is an extremely rare resource inGhost of Tsushimathat is required to upgrade Jin’s armor sets to their maximum level. Unfortunately, Silk can only be found by completing main mission quests like Ishikawa’s Tale and Masako’s Tale or by buying it fromBaku the Voiceless in New Game Plus.
The supply of Silk has a hard limit in one run, and players cannot get enough of the material to upgrade every armor set to the final tier. To do so, they will be forced to start a NG+ run to get the required materials. Luckily, there is a way to fix the scarcity of Silk without having to spend hours grinding. Here is how it works.

Whispers in the Woods Exploit – Infinite Silk Farm
Players can get a huge influx of Silk - enough to upgrade every single armor piece to max – very early in Act 1 using the infamous Whispers in the Woods exploit. This method of farming involves starting theWhispers in the Woods side quest in Act 1ofGhost of Tsushimaand reloading repeatedly mid-quest to get a ton of Leather and Silk. Here’s how it works.
This method is repeatable until Jin’s inventory reaches its maximum capacity (500). Once you’ve hit this limit, fast-travel to any trapper and either sell the Leather for Supplies or keep it to upgrade your armor pieces later in the game.

For Silk, there is no need to hoard it all. Players only need roughly 100 Silk toupgrade every armor set in the game, including DLC, meaning the rest can be converted to supplies without any issues. Of course, be careful not to sell all of it, as once it is sold, the only way of getting it back is to reload from an earlier save and redo the whole process again.
This method of farming Silk has been tested on the recent release ofGhost of Tsushima Director’s Cuton PC, and it works.
