Since making his debut inMortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Mavado has gone on to appear in sixMortal Kombatgames. With most of those appearances being little more than cameos though, it seems somewhat fitting that Mavado was chosen to be the fourthDLC Kameo fighterinMortal Kombat 1.
Armed with his trusty grappling hooks, the Red Dragon member is one of the most interesting Kameo fighters to date, both when it comes to his move set and his design. This is particularly true of Mavado’s Fatality, which ranks among the most well-fleshed-outMortal Kombat 1Kameo finishers to date.

To perform Mavado’s Katapult Fatality, players will need to pressBack,Down,Down,Kameo(R1 on PlayStation, RB on Xbox, or R on Switch) while standing atmedium range. If done correctly, Mavado will launch his grappling hooks into the ground by the opposing Kombatant’s feet and then begin to walk backward. Like some giant human slingshot, he proceeds to launch himself feet-first into the other fighter’s torso, resulting in a huge explosion of blood. With their corpse now in two separate pieces, he flicks some of the blood off of his clothes and strikes awell-earned victory pose.
