As long as you havecompletedThe Storybook Vale’s contentup to this point, which includes unlocking every biome and completing the other characters' quests, you should receive a letter in your mailbox from the Lorekeeper upon updating your game. In the letter, the Lorekeeper shares that a mysterious sickness is affecting the villagers, so you need to go toStorybook Valeto investigate.

After you talk to the Lorekeeper, they will ask you to speak with thelocalDreamlightValleyvillagers, who are all surrounded by a storm of letters and appear to be fading. Luckily, when you interact with them and complete a simple task, you’re able to remind them a bit about their story, which makes the sickness subside. Unfortunately for Maleficent, however, it’s not so simple. After speaking with the Lorekeeper again, you’ll need to repair Maleficent’s story to find out what happened to her.

Upon completing it, you’ll discover that she’s been sent to the Unwritten Realms, which you’ll need to use a portal to reach. To do this, interact with the three tall candle stands that are in the middle of the room where the Lorekeeper resides. Each one will spin a different piece of the Maleficent portrait on the floor. Your goal is tospin the pieces so that the image is positioned with Maleficent’s horns at the top, towards the Lorekeeper, and everything else is lined up to complete the picture. When you’ve done it, a storybook portal will open.

Help Maleficent Receive Some Help In The Unwritten Realms

When you arrive in the Unwritten Realms, head up the stairs to find Maleficent frustrated that she is still waiting to be seen. Unfortunately, after also talking to the Magical Quill yourself, you’ll find out that the wait is rather long. I’m talking eons, so it’s up to you to speed things along. To do this, help Maleficent recover the torn pieces of her ticket throughout the waiting room.

One can be found between the large section of couches, another is in the middle of a smaller section of couches, and the last one is behind the Magical Quill at their desk. With all three in hand, you now have the completed ticket number, which is 9375. Head back to where Maleficent stands by the ticket board andchange the numbers by interacting with them so that they match the ticket you just collected, and then bring the ticket to the Magical Quill.

Once you hand them the ticket, they’ll inform you that Maleficent is unfortunately scheduled for erasure, and the reason why has been redacted. Since the process has already begun, you’ll need tohead to the Review and Processing floor to speak with the quills there, who will then tell you that you need to recover Maleficent’s story if you intend to help her. In total, you will need to recover three of Maleficent’s anchor moments to restore her.

After that, head behind Aurora’s into a room where you’ll need to do the same toactivate three pedestals that will create a path for you to reach the missing panel for the watering contraption behind Aurora’s statue.
