Launching for players today, season 3 isHyper Scape’s newest addition of content. The biggest change is a large overhaul of the map, dubbed Neo Arcadia 2.0 that Ubisoft claims will mix up combat encounters while also changing up the visuals. With the season also comes updating the game’s game modes to always have team deathmatch as well as a squad and solo variant of its flagship crown rush mode. The trailer also shows off some new hacks, or player abilities that are found with other loot across the map, as well as new cosmetics from the battle pass such as character skins, gun charms, and the like.

It is a rather sizeable seasonal update, and the trailer provides a good look at what sort of quick gameplay can be expected when players jump in. The season comes after Ubisoft announced that it was disappointed in the game’s player numbersand promised large overhauls forHyper Scapeto help revitalize the game.

Battle royale games require sizeable player counts to populate their large matches and keep queue times low, so hopefully, the new season attracts some new players to try out the game. It looks as though Ubisoft is following through with its promise of sticking with the game in the long run, but time will only tell whether or not the changes it has planned will be enough.

Hyper Scapeis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
