Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown’s toxic relationship dominatedLove Island USAseason 7 for weeks, and now that they’re both finding new connections, I’m relieved. The Peacock dating show is about exploring connections with multiple people, as is evidenced by the many challenges that require kissing a plethora ofLove Island USAseason 7 cast members. Huda and Jeremiah seemed closed off to new connectionsfrom day one, which gave the villa a confusing dynamic.

We’re less than halfway throughLove Island USAseason 7, so there’s still plenty of time for new couples to emerge and more drama to unfold. Casa Amor usually happens around week three, which means that the emotional moments and steamy hookups that come with separating the male and female cast members is right around the corner. Luckily,Huda and Jeremiah have already parted ways, so they’ll be able to enjoy Casa Amor without being worried about what the other is thinking.

Huda’s Relationship With Jeremiah Was A Mess

They Were Not A Good Match

From the moment they coupled up together on night one, Huda and Jeremiah refused to form connections with any of the other islanders. Some cast members, likeAce Greene, thought this approach was the wrong way to go aboutLove Island USA. Huda and Jeremiah, however, refused to listen. They liked each other and that was that.

Unfortunately, the cracks in their relationship started to show almost immediately. They simply weren’t as compatible as they had thought, which isn’t surprising considering they’d only known each other for a few days.Huda has a child, a fact that caught Jeremiah off-guard. He did decide to continue his relationship with Huda despite this massive piece of news, but he definitely didn’t have the reaction Huda had hoped for.

I understand why Jeremiah would be hesitant to date a woman with a kid, considering he’s only 25, but Huda deserves someone who loves every piece of her.

Huda also admitted she has trust issues, and she asked Jeremiah if, in the real world, he would share his phone location with her. Jeremiah, understandably, said no. Fundamentally, these two people are not the right match for each other. I think Jeremiah is better off coupling up with someone who trusts him completely, and Huda should be with someone she actually has faith in.

Huda’s Reactions Have Been Troubling

She’s Blaming Jeremiah For A Lot

After America paired Jeremiah up with Iris Kendall, sending shock waves through the villa, Huda had a meltdown. To make matters worse, Jeremiah didn’t comfort her that night, causing strain on their relationship. In Jeremiah’s defense,he was almost as shaken up as Huda, as he would now be sleeping in a bed with someone he wasn’t interested in (yet). That being said, even the other islanders agreed Jeremiah should have talked to Huda that night instead of avoiding her.

Huda, feeling rejected by Jeremiah, had a vitriolic reaction to the recoupling. When she wasn’t crying, she was screaming at Jeremiah, calling him names, and being all-around nasty.Huda became the villain ofLove Island USA,and she found herself up for elimination twice in a row. I thought her reaction was over-the-top, and I wasn’t sure Huda would be able to move on. Luckily, I was wrong.

The New Love Island Bombshell Could Change Everything

Will Huda Finally Recouple?

Now thatHudahas put Jeremiah behind her, she’s finally making moves with the other guys. While it’s a little hard with the existing islanders, as they’re all coupled up, a new bombshell could change the game for Huda.TJ Palmer caught the fitness trainer’s eyeimmediately, and while he’s still playing the field, he could be into Huda as well. Even if she and TJ don’t work out, I’m glad Huda is moving on from Jeremiah. Fans will have to tune intoLove Island USAto see if Huda can turn her game around and fall in love.

Love Island USAseason 7 streams daily (except Wednesdays) at 9 p.m. EDT on Peacock.
