In 2018, Dr. Lee graduated from YouTube to television. Her show,Dr. Pimple Popper, premiered on TLC on July 05, 2025, and ran for nine seasons, plus a spin-off calledDr. Pimple Popper: Before The Pop. Now,Dr. Lee is moving from TLC to Lifetimewith her new show, which will dive more into her personal life. I think the inside look at her life will make the new show even better than the last.
Viewers Will Get A Better Inside Look At Dr. Lee’s Life
This Version Will Be More Personal
The new name isn’t the only thing different about Lifetime’s version ofDr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out.Unlike the original version, the new show will include more fromDr. Lee’slife outside the dermatology office. This iteration ofthe show will feature Dr. Lee’s self-shot footage.
Now that her sons are adults and have moved out of the house,Dr. Lee and her husband are empty nesters. She’s entered a new phase of life, and I’m excited to see that phase documented on TV. Althoughfans have gotten to know Dr. Leeover the years on YouTube and TV, I think sharing more of her life will allow audiences to get to know her even better, creating a stronger bond and making for an even better TV show.
Dr. Lee Is Still Giving Us Some Major Pops & Heart-Warming Client Stories
Dr. Lee Changes Lives
Of course, not too much is changing from the originalDr. Pimple Popperseries. Dr. Lee will still be changing lives by removing self-esteem-ruining cysts, andaudiences will still see some amazing pops. The infamous pimple popper won’t be the only recurring cast member on the new show; she is mentoring early-career dermatologists and medical students.
Dr. Lee has a lot to offer her patients and other doctors, and I’m glad she’s passing down her wisdom.
Judging By The Trailer, Dr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Out Has A Lot Of Heart
Audiences Are In For A Treat
Dr. Lee always treats her patients (and others she interacts with) with respect, and that will not change in the new season ofDr. Pimple Popper: Breaking OutonLifetime. One patient in the trailer says,“I feel like weight has been taken off me,“which shows Dr. Lee’s ability to immediately change a patient’s life with her dermatology practice and kindness.
In another scene, Dr. Lee tells a patient with vitiligo that she’s beautiful inside and out, and I believe Dr. Lee means what she says. I’m excitedDr. Pimple Popper: Breaking Outhas found a home on Lifetime. The series is will be filled with tears and laughter, and I can’t wait to see what Dr. Lee does next.
