Steven & Taylor’s Relationship Is Explored Throughout The Summer I Turned Pretty

In season 3, episode 4, “Last Stand,” while Belly attempts to move ahead with her wedding plans to Jeremiah, despite uncertainty from her family, her brother, Steven, is struggling at his job in Adam’s company. His frustrations led to him sharing a bonding moment with his co-worker, Denise.

Steven and Denise bond over their frustrations at not being able to be involved in the decision-making, and their desires to move forward in their jobs. The two are shown to share a moment and connection that could potentially cause trouble in Steven’s ongoing relationship with Taylor.

Steven and Taylor’s feelings for each other are explored throughout the first two seasons, and they ultimately share a kiss inTheSummerITurnedPrettyseason 2, episode 6. Similar to Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah, the couple have faced complications in their relationship, which led to their break-up before the release of season 3.

Despite their break-up, it’s clear that Steven and Taylor still care deeply for each other, as seen when Steven gets into a car accident and Taylor visits him in the hospital.
