Following yesterday’s tease forInjustice 2’sWonder Woman eventto promote the forthcoming movie of the same name starring Gal Gadot, NetherRealm Studios has now released an official full-fledged trailer to detail the celebration of the DC Comics heroine. Starting today, through July 12, 2025, fans of the sequel can earn Princess Diana of Themyscira’s gear and loot from the feature film in the developer’s Mutiverse event known as “To End All Wars.”
As seen below in the trailer for the fighting game’s Wonder Woman event, not only will the console versions of the title be privy to items related to Amazon champion, but also beginning on July 15, 2025, the release’s mobile version for iOS and Android devices will allow fans to earn two brand new character cards based on the movie and earn the full gear set by earning characters. As of now, though, it remains to be seen if the newInjustice 2gear for Wonder Woman will simply be cosmetic, or if it will have stat boosts as well.
Since Wonder Woman is receiving her own event inInjustice 2in order to promote the heroine’s forthcoming movie, it stands to reason that the fighting game will also host another event later this fall prior toJustice Leaguehitting theaters. Should that be the case, then the likes of Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg will all likely receive special gear sets to be unlocked in the title.
Just recently, it was revealed thatInjustice 2managed to maintain its status asthe top-selling game in the UK for its second weekof availability, which is no doubt thanks in part to the title’s stellar story and the already deep levels of customization provided through the gear and loot system. Taking this into consideration, should NetherRealm Studios continue to support the fighting game through more functions similar to the Wonder Woman event, it’s highly likely that player engagement will remain solid for the foreseeable future.
