In the present, Jon and Catman investigate a crash to look for their allies.

Catman has a heart-to-heart with Jon, who says he only fights for peace, but Catman tells him things aren’t as simple as that. The antihero asks Jon to consider that fighting for good doesn’t necessarily make one a ‘good guy’. Catman reminds the young Superman that some villains in the world were labeled as such despite doing good themselves.
Superman’s Son is Starting to See the World in Shades of Gray
Jon Kent is Moving Closer to Anti-Hero Territory
Jon Kent is exactly like his father and, for the last few years, has been fighting by hisside as a second Superman. However, Jon’s been facing a lot of traumatic events in the last few years. All the lows he’s been through have been on his mind as he and his allies Dreamer and Gossamer track down Amanda Waller.
This isn’t to say that Jon is going full bad guy here. He has too much of his father in him to ever be a full-blown villain. But this latest adventure with Waller and Checkmate has shown Jon that hero and villain don’t always align with good or bad. Catman’s words might just have a serious influence on Jon.

Jon Kent’s New Perspective is a Good Thing
The Younger Superman Can Finally, Truly Stand Out
It’s been hard for Jon to find a place in the DCU. But having a more morally gray Superman, one that contrasts with Clark Kent’s more traditional worldview could make for an interesting arc for Jon. Hopefully, whatever happens whenSuperman’sson’s latest adventure ends, he still wants to fight for good, no matter what label that means.
Secret Six #6is available from DC Comics on August 6th, 2025.
