How To Play Wordle
Originally created by the dev of powerlanguage named Josh Wardle,Wordleis an easy-to-play browser-based game that can be played from almost any device. In February, it was purchased by the New York Times, and it still resides on its Games website. While players don’t currently need to log in or pay to play,Wordleplayers will soon be able to link theirWordlescores to their NYT Games account.

To get started, head to theNew York Times GamesWordlesite and choose a starting word. This word should be:
Once a word is chosen, type it into the top row of the 5x6 grid on the website. Press enter. The letters of the word will change colors to give players some clues to the real answer. Green letters are right and in the right place, yellow letters are right but in the wrong place in the word, and gray letters are wrong. Given these clues, players should choose another word and type it into the site. The letters on this word will also change. Repeat until the word is guessed or the six tries players get run out. New puzzles are available at 12:00AM local time.
