Wordleis an easy-to-learn word puzzle guessing game. This simple game went viral on a lot of social media platforms early in 2022, but it remains fairly popular in the English-speaking world. If anyone out there has yet to try it, here is some help to get any new player started.
How To Play Wordle
Although there are tons of copycats, clones, and evenan officialWordleboard game, there is only one original.Wordleis currently hosted on the New York Times Games site where it has lived since the newspaper purchased it earlier this year. All hints and rules in the article will be about this version; otherWordleswill have different answers and may even have different rules. Here’s how to play:

Head to the right site and choose a starting word. It should be five letters long, a real English word, and should have a good distribution ofcommon letters inWordlepuzzles. Type the chosen starting word into the site and press enter. This will fill out the top row of the 5x6 grid on the site, and then the letters will change colors. The colors will give players some clues as to the real answer.
Using these clues, players should continue typing in new words into the grid and getting more color clues until they guess the word of the day, or they run out of their six tries. There is only oneWordleper day, so players will have to wait until midnight for the next puzzle to roll around.
