Hidden around the various worlds ofKingdom Hearts 3are treasure chests that hold maps, healing items, armor, and more for Sora and the gang to collect. Some of these chests are hidden in breakable objects like rocks, and there is one rock in particular that seems to be givingKingdom Hearts 3fans trouble.
In theKingdom of Corona, the world based onTangled, there is a sparkling rock with a treasure chest in it that many players can’t seem to break. To break the rock, players need to dive towards it from a high ledge, which should trigger a button prompt for Sora to destroy it with his keyblade.
The trick is finding a ledge high enough in this area to actually break the rock. As it turns out, there are a couple of different spots Sora can jump from and perform his dive attack to break the rock, but getting to them is a little tricky. The first method, shown by YouTuber Catherine Markarian, is to actually climb on top of the rocky mountains that are in this area, even though the game gives no indication that Sora is able to stand on these surfaces.
Another method, shown by streamer and YouTuber msamethystlady, involves getting to a different ledge that’s also nearby. This area is accessible by jumping over the rocky area shown in the previous video, as well as accessible shortly after the area where Rapunzel uses her hair to swing across gaps.
Since at least two methods have already been found for breaking the sparkling rock in the Kingdom of Corona, it stands to reason that there are other ways to destroy it as well.Kingdom Hearts 3players may want to experiment with other high cliffs in the area to see if they can find other ways to break the rock.
Luckily, most of the other instances where players have to use Sora’s dive attack to break rocks and other objects are usually easier to figure out than this one. Whether it’s breaking ice chunks in theFrozen-themed Arendelle worldor other rocks in different worlds, Sora usually has a clear vantage point from where to jump, soKingdom Hearts 3players shouldn’t have nearly as much trouble.
Kingdom Hearts 3is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
